The System

The system consists of a wooden base fitted with flexible slats, and a compatible mattress.

The Slat Base

The slat base is an anatomically adjustable structure. The slats are highly flexible beechwood strips, three to five centimeters in width. They are placed horizontally, attached to the side rails at regular intervals. The spaces between the slats provide the necessary ventilation to the mattress, preventing the accumulation of dust, bad odors and moisture, which can lead to allergic reactions and discomfort. Each slat is coated with melamine to protect it from humidity and insect damage.

The base serves several functions:

• To absorb the pressure caused by body weight, especially when changing position
• To control the bed climate from below by providing air circulation and reducing moisture
• The head of the bed can be adjusted to several different positions for reading, watching television, etc.

Certain models also offer:

• Adjustable firmness in the back region
• Shoulder comfort zones specially designed for the side-lying position
• Slats that absorb weight and movement vertically
• Multi-position adjustable backrest, mechanically adjustable backrest
• Multi-position footrest
• Fully electrical adjustment, including head, foot, backrest and knee support

The Compatible Mattress

A variety of mattresses are available for use with the slat bases. Each model is designed to take advantage of the orthopedic benefits of the slat base. Six different types of mattresses are currently available, with a range of features and prices. Confort Suizo mattresses are manufactured with high-quality materials and come with a 10-year guarantee.

The mattresses offer the following advantages:

• Ventilation channels cause the outflow of humid air and inflow of fresh air, helping eliminate moisture.
• Several types of high-technology polyurethane are used in different structural combinations.
• Designed and manufactured with the most recent technology in luxury mattresses, these products combine firmness for optimum back support and the flexibility to adjust to the movements of the slat base. They are also lightweight for easy maintenance.
• Natural materials such as camel hair and sheep's wool regulate temperature and moisture
• Natural silk and cotton coverings were developed especially for the skin comfort which is particularly important in tropical climates.

The slat base and mattress can be used with legs and wooden headboard and footboard to make a complete bed, or without this accesories for use with pre-existing or new bed frames. They can also be sold without these accessories for use with any bed frame.

If you wish to keep your current bed frame, metal corner brackets can be installed to hold the Confort Suizo sleep system.
