Types
of slat bases
The
slat base is a basic anatomically adjustable structure. It is made
up of two side rails that hold the extremely flexible beechwood
slats. This flexibility, combined with the benefits of the mattresses,
provides consistent support to the body, permitting a truly restful
sleep.

Advantages
- Flexibly
adjustable mattress support responds to the user's movements and
body weight. Permits the mattress to adjust to the "S"
shape of the spine
- Elastic
reaction to all pressures along both the length and width of the
bed
- The
design and material of the slat mounts assure that each slat can
turn and flex efficiently
- Special
attention to the thorax area, providing support at the chest level
and dilation of the lower thorax
- Permits
air circulation to remove moisture from the mattress
- Improves
general hygiene
- Up
to three sections of the base can be adjusted to raise the head,
back and/or legs
- Even
intensive use does not produce noise if the base is used with
an appropriate mattress

Moon-flex
The
slat base can be equipped with legs, headboard and footboard to
form a full bed, or can be used with any existing bed frame
The optional adjustable head, foot and backrests are especially
helpful for older individuals, or anyone with an illness or physical
condition that requires a great deal of bed rest. Such conditions
often require slight elevation of the legs, which is easily accomplished
with the appropriate slat base.
A slat base must be flexible enough to adjust to the different movements
of the sleeping body. Clearly, in this flexible system, the slat
mounts can not be rigid. They too must be flexible, adjusting to
the pressure of each body part. The construction and materials of
the mount are critical in assuring that each slat can turn and flex
efficiently.

Fiber-flex
The
slat mounts on Confort Suizo's
bed bases are adjustable to three levels to provide ample suspension
for sleeping comfort. When combined with an appropriate mattress,
the flexible reaction of the slats offers optimum support to the
spine and muscle structure.
The slat base provides a level of comfort that is not yet commonly
known: comfort that you will not want to give up once you have experienced
it!
