Types of mattresses

The difference is in the raw materials

In recent years, Swiss industry has developed a series of high-tech, environmentally friendly polyurethane materials with varying degrees of strength, pliability, weight, porosity and durability. Because these products are the result of many years of high technology research and development, they are not easily copied.

Polyurethane core

Solid and firm, yet flexible: these are the ideal characteristics of any high-quality mattress. Polyurethane provides superior comfort, particularly through "point elasticity," a term used to describe material that adjusts to the pressure of a single finger; compensating for any movement, no matter how subtle. This effect guarantees consistent body support. Confort Suizo mattresses use high-quality, high-tech polyurethane materials called Suplex and Micro-Tec.

Characteristics

There are many ways to combine Suplex or Micro-Tec with natural materials in order to improve the characteristics of a mattress. The use of sheep's wool, for example, provides optimum bed climate control. These mattresses are also silent, easy to handle, and contain no metal parts.

Innerspring mattresses

The core of an innerspring mattress consists of a steel spring structure. Depending on the manufacturing process, the springs are inserted into the polyurethane and/or between multiple layers of cushioning materials.

Ventilation channels

Whenever the sleeper moves, the channels permit air stored in the mattress to be partially expelled and exchanged for fresh air. This ventilation helps transport moisture out of the mattress. The ventilation channels also contribute to the elasticity of the mattress and make it lighter in weight.
